LeagueLocks started the way most good league ideas do: a fantasy football group chat, a shared pot of buy-in money sitting idle in a payment app all season, and somebody asking “why isn't this money doing anything?” The answer became a product — a place where a crew that already bets together can run it like a league: one shared prize pool, one collectively-chosen bet a week, and a season-long record of who called it and who didn't.
The weekly ritual is the whole point. A rotating member goes “on the clock” and proposes picks. The league votes. The treasurer places the winning pick at a real, licensed sportsbook — off-platform, at the league's own book — and uploads the slip. Everyone sweats the game together in chat, the result goes in the books, and the pool grows (or doesn't). Standings, streaks, and bragging rights accumulate all season.
Each week one member proposes up to three picks with live lines. The whole league votes, and the top pick becomes the league's bet. One member, one vote — arguments included, free of charge.
League dues form a shared prize pool with an append-only ledger. Every wager out and every payout back in is recorded, and the pool everyone sees is computed from that same ledger — the app and the money can never disagree.
The treasurer places the league's bet at a licensed sportsbook and uploads the slip. Results wear an “Unverified” badge until the proof is attached. Nobody takes anybody's word for it.
